As I have explained many times before in various articles, Sharia law allows the following (and this is just when it comes to women):
· Obligatory female genital mutilation (FGM).
· Requirement of women to obtain permission from husbands for daily freedoms, such as leaving the house unescorted by a male family member.
· Beating of disobedient women and girls.
· Compulsory acceptance of polygamy and forced child marriages.
· Requirement of the testimony of four male Muslim witnesses (or eight women) to prove rape;
· Stoning to death of adulteresses.

"There it is in plain sight -- a full-scale civil war in Mexico that continues to be downplayed by Washington as just another battle among rival drug traffickers. Treated by the State Department and Homeland Security as simply a domestic criminal problem across the border, this no-holds-barred insurgency threatens the existence of all phases of legal governance in a large portion of the United States' southern neighbor.
The importance of stability in Mexico for the U.S. easily can be seen in the crucial fact that Mexico is the source of close to one million barrels per day of oil imported into the United States -- third only behind Canada and Saudi Arabia.
There is no higher level of terrorism worldwide than that which exists today in Mexico. A conscious effort is in process by the drug cartels to take over the physical areas of northern and portions of central Mexico, replacing existing governmental forms with their own deadly justice. This organized criminal contest now has grown to constitute a form of civil war that isn't much different in effect from what is taking place in the Caucasus, Congo, southern Philippines or even Afghanistan." More of what is called "The Give Act" and "The Serve Act" from Michelle Malkin via FSM: Read it all.
Family Security Matters Publications To GIVE and To SERVE: The $6 Billion National Service Boondoggle: "Maybe it's just me, but I find federal legislation titled 'The GIVE Act' and 'The SERVE Act' downright creepy. Even more troubling: the $6 billion price tag on these bipartisan bills to expand government-funded national service efforts.
Volunteerism is a wonderful thing, which is why millions of Americans do it every day without a cent of taxpayer money. But the volunteerism packages on the Hill are less about promoting effective charity than about creating make-work, permanent bureaucracies and left-wing slush funds.
The House passed the 'Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act' -- or the GIVE Act -- last week. The Senate took up the companion SERVE Act Tuesday afternoon. According to a Congressional Budget Office analysis of the Senate bill (S.277), it would cost '$418 million in 2010 and about $5.7 billion over the 2010-2014 period.'"

> This morning, at One Cosmos Dr. Robert Godwin said something which I think ties in perfectly
with the part of the Family Security Matter's piece I have quoted by Renee Taylor below.
"Enough malevolent wishes and wicked deeds, and pretty soon you have created a closed world. As Steinsaltz describes it, "the sinner is punished by the closing of the circle, by being brought into contact with the domain of evil he creates.... as long as man chooses evil, he supports and nurtures whole worlds and mansions of evil, all of them drawing upon the same human sickness of the soul.... as the evil flourishes and spreads over the world because of the deeds of men, these destructive angels become increasingly independent existences, making up a whole realm that feeds on and fattens on evil."
Hitler. Stalin. Bin Laden. Yasser Arafat. Kim Jong-il. Ahmadinejad. Detached worlds of pure evil as an end in itself. Who could say it isn't so?"
From an excellent piece over at Family Security Matters, writer and home school Mom Renee Taylor has written an extremely important piece. Here are a couple of excerpts from it. Read it all.
"In 1919, the Communist Soviet Union made public education compulsory and home
> schooling illegal. In 1938 in Nazi Germany, Adolph Hitler declared home
> schooling a criminal offense and those families enemies of the Third Reich.
> In 1959, Communist China abolished home schooling, making public education
> mandatory, and the home schooling parents were imprisoned. Only God Himself
> knows how many families in Nazi Germany, Communist China and the Soviet Union
> were put to death based on their decision to home school their children.
> In all cases, the survival of these regimes depended on the indoctrination of
> Communist and fascist ideals in the government-controlled schools. In an
> eerily reminiscent move, on February 28, 2008, in the Second Appellate Court,
> state of California in the United States of America, a ruling was issued that
> stated parents do not have the constitutional right to educate their children
> at home, setting the course of our children’s education down the same
> dangerous path of indoctrination set by the Communist countries of China, the
> former Soviet Union and the Nazi regime of Adolf Hitler."
>Please wake up! We are dumbing down our children.
