Interesting debate, Gecko.
There's a lot of new immunizations out there, and it doesn't hurt to research them.
Unfortunately, there's also a lot of unreliable and misinformation, so it's not easy to find the truth.

IMO, except for dangerous, communicable diseases, it should be up to the parents to decide.

But even then there appears to be some adverse reactions for a few kids, and even some adults.

I think there should be more research on testis that might indicate a possible adverse reaction.

I also think that parents should talk to their doctors. If they act like Michelle's doctor, find another!
If a doctor isn't willing to talk about it, or do some research themselves, I wouldn't put my children's lives in their hands.

Re: the chicken pox shot: I'm glad they have finally developed one, and although it's too late for my kids, I would recommend that one, because shingles comes from chicken pox, and although it may not strike for decades (if at all) it's excrutiating, and can cause severe damage, including death.

I only mention that because many folks are under the impression that chicken pox is no big deal.
But shingles is, and the only way to get it is by first getting chx pox.

Thanks Ben, for your input. I have posted two links under Health. Dr Blaycock, a neurologist has a lot of interesting stuff to say as well as a good science blog with more information. In the homeopathic world
chicken pox, herpes, strep and shingles are all related.
Shingles - argggggg - I will never forget that picture you posted!
