My how things have changed since Cat Stevens, now Yousuf Islam, sang this beautiful Episcopal hymn.

He does sing the song in a very engaging way.His many unfortunate sentiments expressed as Yusuf Islam are troubling . But his artistry in this video is obvious.

Did you know Cat Stevens has a son who is also a singer? Google "Yoriyos" and click on his MySpace page and there you can listen to quite a few of his songs. He has an excellent, very soothing voice and he writes his own songs, which are very good.

He is a lovely young man who has a very close relationship with his father, and if you read about him you will see that a young man like this could never have been raised by the kind of person that some of the media has portrayed Yusuf to be. Yusuf also has four daughters who are equally lovely young women.

Yusuf sang at "Live Earth" last summer. Check out videos on "YouTube". (Also check out "Yoriyos" videos on "YouTube".) Yusuf did an excellent cover of Stevie Wonders' "Saturn" at "Live Earth" as well as about 5 of his old Cat Stevens songs. He closed the German show with "Peace Train".

All in all, Yusuf is a wonderful man who has dedicated his life to helping others.

He has gone through lots of changes but he lost me when he called for the death of Salmon Rushdie recorded on a video since removed from You Tube.
He also raised money for the Holy Land Foundation along with the Muslim Brotherhood. At the Live Earth concer he had a little thinly veiled anti Israel ditty.
Thanks, anon, for posting and I appreciate hearing other points of view. Thank goodness his son got him singing again.
