I still don't see the big deal about male circumcision though.

It does seem to me a primitive tribal rite that the first thing done to a boy baby is to cut him and it is clear that it does hurt or else why does the baby howl in pain?

Well, yeah, if you're gonna put it like that. :^)
I don't remember it though, and one could say there's lot's of things throughout a baby's career that will make him howj in pain.

But I do respect anyone who is against the practice.
I just don't see it as somethin' to be concerned about, in respect to boys.
IOW's it doesn't seem to have any adverse effects on Jews or anyone else that gets it done, although I would be concerned in a third world country, I reckon.

I only said what I did, 'cause there ain't no comparison to clitorectomy's which was Joan's point, which I know you agree with.
But I can see why it bothers you too.
