Look who wants to govern California! Perhaps this state needs to split in half.

"...In turn, this is why religion is always the enemy of the state (but not vice versa), and the real reason for the left's antipathy to it. The elimination of religion is always at the heart of the leftist project, whether we're talking about communists, fascists, or the ACLU. The antipathy is not accidental, but essential, for the religious person is intrinsically at odds with the goals of the state, which is an autopoeitic system that, left to its own devices, slowly gobbles up more and more liberty; this system "eats" freedom and dissipates wealth, as we see in Obama's unprecedented expansion of government. (Insert countless other historical/contemporary examples here ________.)
[And please do not caricature our position, as we strongly believe in the necessity of the state, specifically, the one envisaged by our Constitution.]
This conflict has to do with the fundamental dialectic between our individual-ism and social-ism. There is nothing wrong with the latter, as we cannot be an individual in the absence of the group. The problem with the left is that they replace the "interior we" with the "exterior us," which means that they replace spontaneous civil society with state coercion. This is how to best understand, say, the attempt to undermine marriage (the fundamental "we" of civilization), or destroy the Boy Scouts, or eliminate conservative radio, or reduce the deduction for charitable giving. The left wants you to always look first to the government for help (and information, which is the purpose of the moonstream media), not fellow human beings..."

In case you missed this toxic example of the distorted view of the projection
of a woman who considers herself reasonable and maligns anyone who has a
different view of things than she does pull the pathetic race card you are
fortunate indeed. When our tea party in Santa Barbara ,organized by a petite powerhouse of a woman named Heather Bryden in three weeks asked me for a bit of help for this grass roots event, I suggested that she get Lloyd Marcus who had written "The Tea Party Song" and before I knew it we had the honor of
having Lloyd stay with us. It was appalling last night to watch, in passing, this incoherent woman, Janeane Garofalo speak with the condescending disrespect for others that seems to be typical of today's moonbat left . Here is what she said on MSNBC:( IF AT ANY TIME YOU BECOME NAUSEATED SKIP DOWN TO LLOYD'S RESPONSE WHICH HE EMAILED TO ME)
JANEANE GAROFALO: "Thank you. You know, there's nothing more interesting than seeing a bunch of racists become confused and angry at a speech they're not quite certain what he's saying. It sounds right and then it doesn't make sense. Which, let's be very honest about what this is about. It's not about bashing Democrats, it's not about taxes, they have no idea what the Boston tea party was about, they don't know their history at all. This is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up. That is nothing but
a bunch of teabagging rednecks. And there is no way around that. And you know, you can tell these type of right wingers anything and they'll believe it, except the truth. You tell them the truth and they become -- it's like showing Frankenstein's monster fire. They become confused, and angry and highly volatile. That guy, causing them feelings they don't know, because their limbic brain, we've discussed this before, the limbic brain inside a right-winger or Republican or conservative or your average white power activist, the limbic brain is much larger in their head space than in a reasonable person, and it's pushing against the frontal lobe. So their synapses are misfiring. .. And again, this is about racism. It could be any issue, any port in the storm. These guys hate that a black guy is in the White House. But they immigrant bash, they pretend taxes and tea bags, and like I said, most of them probably couldn't tell you thing one about taxation without
representation, the Boston tea party, the British imperialism, whatever the
history lesson has to be. But these people, all white for the most part,
unless there's some people with Stockholm syndrome there ..."
LLOYD MARCUS' RESPONSE:
A Black Tells Garafalo Don't Speak for Him:
Ms Garafalo, HOW DARE YOU! Calling hard working, decent American taxpayers
'racist tea bagging rednecks' simply because they protest outrageous
government spending is evil. Your irresponsible divisive accusation fuels the > flames of racial hatred and could inspire violence against whites.
Your arrogance in saying that I suffer from “Stockholm Syndrome” because I am
a black man who loves his country and my fellow Americans is beyond measure.
I can not begin to express how offensive it is for me to hear narcissistic
superior liberals lecturing me on why I should view myself as a victim and
hate white America. You are sick, evil or both.
As a black man, I ask that you please confine your liberal insulting rhetoric
on my behalf to your elitist cocktail parties where you pat yourselves on the
back for the number of blacks on your guest list.
The American people are good. Obama was elected president, NOT King. We have a
right and duty to protest against policies we believe to be wrong for America.
Why? Because freedom isn't free!
Your despicable lies only embolden us patriots to stand tall, united, and
strong for America.

Federal agency warns of radicals on right - Washington Times
"The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in "rightwing extremist activity," saying the economic recession, the election of America's first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias.
A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines "rightwing extremism in the United States" as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.
"It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration," the warning says."

"...Once again, the counter-revolutionaries, led by an acolyte of the devil-worshipping Saul Alinsky, are back in the saddle. Remember, he was merely following in the footsteps of "the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment..., Lucifer." In this regard, let's just let one of his clowns again speak for himself:
"Satan has always been a more attractive character than God, because rebels are cool and God is such an asshole. Aside from suborning genocide, getting all bent out of shape if he's not worshiped sufficiently, and other assorted Biblical atrocities, just look at the people he has speak for him on Earth. Who wouldn't want to be on the opposite side from such people?"
You see? It's all self-evident. Satan is cool and attractive, God is an asshole, the Bible is a compendium of atrocities, and Godly people are demonic. I never engage in polemic, unless I'm just trying to be funny. But when I say that the worldview of the left is precisely upside down and inside out, I am again being quite literal and matter of fact..."

"... We start from the belief that prosperity is indivisible; that growth, to be sustained, has to be shared; and that our global plan for recovery must have at its heart the needs and jobs of hard-working families, not just in developed countries but in emerging markets and the poorest countries of the world too; and must reflect the interests, not just of today’s population, but of future generations too. We believe that the only sure foundation for sustainable globalization and rising prosperity for all is an open world economy based on market principles, effective regulation, and strong global institutions..."

"...His Satanic Majesty would probably even request that we not call him "evil." Rather, he would turn the tables and say that humans are evil -- just like the ACLU, he would argue that every cop is a criminal and all the Sunnis saints. So please, have some sympathy for the ACLU, or they will be pleased to meet you in court and lay your solvency to waste. After all, our courts are governed by the Adversarial system, in that they are the one place where the Adversary can have the most influence. Independent minded Santa Barbarians turned out yesterday for a Tea Party in which Paul Revere, riding his prancing, proud horse, led a tax protest march from the courthouse to a rally that took place between the Federal bankruptcy court and a funeral parlor. The march started with over 1000 people spontaneously singing "God Bless America" and saying the Pledge of Allegiance.
Singer songwriter Lloyd Marcus(see yesterday's link) warmed up the crowd with a call out to all those who had served in the military singing "Proud To Be An American". Then he sang his original "Tea Party Song" and the crowd went wild. Moderating for the rally was recovered liberal Tammy Bruce, writer and talk show warrior
who inspired independent thinkers, Republican or Democrat, Conservative or Libertarian of the urgent need to organize demanding fiscal responsibility from our elected politicians, and to support candidates who vote that way. Novelist, screenwriter Andrew Klavan, delightedly surprised that anybody would turn up but his friends, was very funny in his painfully accurate talk about the many links between big government and Hollywood zombie movies. Local state senators Tony Strickland and George Runner showed up along with the Mayor of Lompoc. There was no clean up necessary after this event. Not one plastic bottle or piece of paper remained after everyone had gone home. Imagine that.
Thanks to Julie to pointing out Glenn Reynold's mention of the event on Instapundit where he posted my pictures and great links to more.

Victor Davis Hanson separating the wheat from the chaff:
"...If you believed that Main Street and Wall Street have little, if anything, to do with why publishers can afford to extend million-dollar book advances, or why the Ivy League has millions in scholarships for students, or why foundations, universities, and governments can afford to hire so many advisors, consultants, administrators, lawyers, and professors, then you would never really connect the conditions that promote good business with those that allow intellectuals, technocrats, and bureaucrats to thrive.
If you believed that those with capital have had an unfortunate head start, or have done dubious things that others less fortunate would not, then you would seek ways to forgive loans, to allow the indebted to start over with a clean slate, to ensure new borrowing with record-low interest rates, to lower or eliminate taxes on most people, and to expand in turn the financial help from the government — and not worry that stocks are down, dividends are nearly nonexistent, interest on deposits is at a record low, equity in real property has often disappeared, and accumulated capital is itself often diminished or insecure.
If you believed that the story of the United States is more a narrative of gender, race, and class oppression than of brave souls promoting liberty and trying to reify the promise of the Constitution, then you would have empathy for fellow victims of such endemic Western oppression. The cries from the heart we are hearing from Bolivia and Cuba, from Iran, Syria, and the West Bank, are not anti-American, much less illiberal: they are efforts to articulate the oppression that the people in those places have suffered at the hands of others..."
