Hi Gecko,
Saw your comment on OC regarding having problems with hypertext linking. Try some of these?

Now, as to the linky-dinky thing, there are several ways to go, some more user-friendly than others. Blogger appears to have some info here, including instructions on how to create them manually.

Don't be shocked by all the weird HTML code that will appear in your working-comment-box, it's perfectly normal. You can test whether the link displays & functions correctly by clicking the 'preview' button (down next to the 'publish your comment' button)

If the Blogger's auto-set-up does not work for you, many browsers have 'add-ons' that come with hyperlink features. Check the website for your browser for 'Hypertext link' or 'Text Formatting' to see what's available. Once it's installed, make sure it's set for HTML code (not BBcode or Wiki code)

For example, I'm running Firefox & installed the add-on
"Text Formatting Toolbar" (from the Firefox Add-On Website) which lets me play around with comment-text quite a bit, and includes drop-down-and-fill boxes that make linking a breeze - and they always come out right.

Hope this helps you in your quest to conquer hyperlinking. Yes You Can!

Hey, your linky-dink works just fine here, so something has got to be hinky with the 9pm one on OC. Did you use 'preview' to test it on OC? Best to actually open it in a new tab/window - just hovering the bluetext for status-bar check can be misleading as to whether it'll open properly. Often, just one space in the wrong place or an extra character makes all the difference.

After you've confirmed your previewed link works correctly, go back to 'edit comment' & study the link HTML so you'll know how the pieces should look for a working link. Later on, you'll be able to spot the errors on non-working links & correct them by hand, cause you know how they SHOULD look.

Are you using formatting bar (ie Blogger's Internet Explorer drop-down button or your Browser's add-on) or using a standard copy & paste template?

Hmmm, Vanster sent me a template in email once..... let's see if I can find it... be right back

Yup, here it is:

"Yuc-yuc! Hey speaking of basic truths, primitive info-age dwellers who didn't like bothering with typing blue links, just pasted it once into a notepad doc, such as "Linky thingy.txt", saved it on their desktops, and the just opened, copied and pasted it where needed... not that that's from personal experience or anything... I am after all a highly paid geek who wouldn't resort to such things. Never.
ahem.

***ah heck, the template won't copy here in this comment box, but Van's advice still holds re saving the template in a doc to be copied/pasted for use at will***

Just paste it where you want it, paste your webaddress between the quotes, and your blue text between the >< , and you're good to go. Rumor has it even soccer fans can pull that off."

Raccoons are NOT to be beaten by idiot horizontal linkytrash! Pound it into submission, if that's what it takes to make it cooperate.
